The Brief
A Clinic Google Could No Longer See
The Hampton Clinic is a hair and wellness clinic on Whiteladies Road in Bristol, led by its director Tarek Magdy, who has worked with hair loss patients since 2014. Its patients rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across nearly three hundred reviews. By every measure that happens inside the clinic, it was doing well.
Online, it had disappeared. The clinic came to us in August 2026 after a difficult experience with its previous provider, and Google was being turned away from the website it had been left with: requests met a security challenge and an instruction not to index the page, and the clinic's Google Ads had been disapproved because the destination did not work. For ten straight weeks the clinic's domain did not earn a single click from Google search. New patients searching for exactly what the clinic does were being sent everywhere else.
A patch would not have fixed it. The clinic needed to be understood again before it could be found again, so we took on the whole job: what the clinic stands for, how the brand looks and speaks, a website rebuilt from the ground up, and a search foundation built from scratch, with a plan that keeps working after launch.
01
From a List of Treatments to a Clinic With a Point of View
A list of treatments tells a patient nothing about why to choose a clinic. This one had something far more valuable to say, and it was already how Tarek works: understand what is happening first, protect and strengthen what a patient still has, and only then talk about replacing anything. We named it, put it at the centre of every hair page, and let it shape how the clinic talks about everything else.
Hair leads, because it is what the clinic has treated longest and what it is known for. Skin, body contouring and laser hair removal sit alongside as the three other areas of a single clinic, not as a second business. And the clinic is candid about who each treatment suits and who it does not, which is exactly why patients trust it.
- Foundation first. Assess, then preserve, then replace only where it genuinely helps: the idea every hair page is built around.
- Four areas, one clinic. Hair and scalp, skin, body contouring and laser hair removal, with hair leading the story.
- The director as the face. Tarek's training, his years in hair loss and the fact that he accompanies transplant patients himself, told plainly.
- Honest about money. A £25 consultation of 45 to 60 minutes, taken off the treatment if the patient goes ahead, and said the same way everywhere.

02
The Crest, Given Room to Breathe
The clinic's navy and gold crest had heritage, so it stayed. Everything around it changed. We built a quieter, more private identity for the clinic on screen: warm bone paper, deep night navy, ink for type, and no accent colour anywhere, so the only colour on a page is the crest, the photography and the skin in it.
The clinic's own line, "It is not how we do it, it is why we do it", became the brand's signature and now sits at the heart of the homepage. Type runs to two extremes, a light, generous serif for headlines and a small tracked sans for detail. The real reception on Whiteladies Road and the real director are the photographs that carry the brand, and every image on the site was graded onto one tonal system so the whole thing reads as one clinic.

Bone, night, ink and two warm greys. No accent colour.

03
Rebuilt From the Ground Up, as a Clinic, Not a Blog
We did not redesign the old site. We started again: 31 pages of plain, fast HTML, structured the way a patient decides. A hair pillar with its own family of pages, from the scalp consultation to transplantation and to hair loss in men and in women, then pillars for skin, body and laser, each with its own treatments.
Every page follows the shape of a clinic rather than an article: the key facts above the first paragraph, an at a glance panel, a booking card that stays in view, an honest section on who a treatment suits and who it does not, and a close that always offers a way to get in touch. Every call, WhatsApp and email tap is measured by where on the page it happened, so we know which parts of the site bring patients in.
- 31 pages, rebuilt. Four area pillars, a treatments hub and 20 treatment and guide pages, plus results, about, contact and finance.
- A clinic page skeleton. Proof first, facts at a glance, a sticky booking card and a close that always offers a next step.
- Every enquiry measured. Calls, WhatsApp and email each tracked on their own, with the placement that produced them.
- The clinic's own films. Real treatment films from the clinic, played more than three hundred times since launch.

04
Ranked Again, From Scratch
With the old site gone, there was nothing to inherit, so the search foundation was built from nothing. The new site went live on the clinic's own domain on 10 September 2026. Every page carries Bristol where it should and a title written for what patients actually type. The homepage answers "what is The Hampton Clinic" in a form Google and the AI assistants can lift, and the clinic, its address, opening hours, director and consultation fee are all declared in structured data.
The result was immediate. After ten weeks of nothing, the clinic appeared in Google 2,754 times in its first week and 6,481 times in its second, across 778 different searches, and it reached page one in Bristol for treatments across all four areas. Ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for hair loss treatment in Bristol and both now point to The Hampton Clinic.
- Page one in Bristol for laser hair removal, full body laser hair removal, microneedling, HIFU, facials, dermaplaning and body sculpting, within two weeks of launch.
- First in Google for its own name in Bristol, so patients who hear about the clinic find it first time.
- Named by AI assistants. ChatGPT and Perplexity both cite the site for hair loss treatment in Bristol; Perplexity for laser hair removal and skin clinics in Bristol; ChatGPT for chemical peels in Bristol.
- Built to be read by machines. Clinic, director, FAQ and consultation price in structured data, an llms.txt, and every AI crawler welcome.

The Result
One Month of Enquiries Worth a Year
The number that matters most is not one we measure. Within the first month, the clinic told us it was receiving enquiries it had not seen in the whole of the previous year. The site shows the same thing from its side: 50 taps to call, WhatsApp or email since launch, from a website that a month earlier Google could not see at all.
The Hampton Clinic is a current client, and launch was the start. Each month we deepen the hair pages with the questions patients ask before they book, keep the technical foundation and structured data right as pages change, track the clinic's searches and its answers in AI assistants, and use what the enquiry tracking tells us to make the pages that bring patients in work even harder.
