AI engines naming the clinic in week one
The Brief
A Doctor's Name Had Become the Ceiling
Dr Rakib Uddin is a cosmetic doctor in Kew, Melbourne: MBBS from the University of Queensland, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine, and an aesthetic trainer who teaches other doctors. His practice ran on drrakib.com.au, a WordPress site on shared hosting, named after him and written around him. Good for one doctor. Not built for a clinic with a team he has trained, a growing list of treatments, and patients who search for a concern before they ever search for a name.
There was a second, harder problem. Australian cosmetic medicine is advertised under AHPRA rules, and the old site broke them on most pages: product brand names in copy, headings and URLs, and language that promised outcomes. A breach lands on the doctor personally. Any new site had to be compliant on every page before it could be beautiful on any of them.
Dr Rakib asked us to take the whole thing on: a new name and brand that could outgrow one person, a website designed and written from the ground up, a migration that lost none of the search equity the old domain had earned, and a long-term organic strategy for Melbourne and for the AI engines patients now ask first. He trusted us with all of it, and that trust is what made the work possible.
01
From Dr Rakib to Aesthetic Doctors Australia
The name does three jobs at once. It says what the clinic is, it says who does the work (doctors, not injectors), and it gives the practice a name that can hold a second practitioner, a second room and a second city without a rebrand. Dr Rakib stays in the byline, where his credentials do the most good: Aesthetic Doctors Australia, by Dr Rakib.
The identity is calm and clinical rather than glossy. A sage and ivory palette with stone and ink, Cormorant Garamond for headings and a clean geometric sans for everything else, an ADA monogram that sits quietly in the corner of every page, and photography of real skin in real light. No glitter, no stock models mid-laugh, nothing that reads as a beauty salon.
- A consultation-first voice. Every page opens with what the patient has noticed, explains what causes it and which causes are treatable, and says plainly when treatment is not the right answer.
- Compliance written into the language. Collagen biostimulator, volume enhancement, wrinkle relaxers and thread lift replace every product brand name. No testimonials, no reviews reproduced on the site, no promised results.
- Real photography. Sixty-two photographs of Dr Rakib's own clinic and work, eleven of them of him treating patients, with every file's metadata stripped before it went anywhere near the web.
- One system for every surface. Logo lockups, type scale, spacing rhythm and button styles defined once and used on every one of the 129 pages.

Sage, ivory, stone, a warm accent used sparingly, and ink.
Start with what you've noticed.
Cormorant Garamond at a light weight for headings, with an italic for the second thought. A geometric sans for body copy, labels and the clinical detail.

A Website That Thinks Like a Patient
Patients do not arrive knowing the name of a treatment. They arrive having noticed something: a jawline that has softened, hollows under the eyes, lines that stay after the expression has gone. So the site is built concern first. Twenty-two concern guides explain what is happening and route to the treatments that address it, in the order Dr Rakib would work through them in a consultation. Twenty-nine treatment pages, forty-six Journal articles and a full set of aftercare guides sit underneath, all cross-linked.
Every page is plain static HTML. No client-side rendering, no page builder, nothing a crawler has to wait for. The homepage, the mega menu, the pricing page and the trust pages were each designed as their own problem rather than poured into one template, then the whole site went through a craft pass on type scale, spacing, focus states and reveal motion, and every template was checked at phone width.
- Concern first, treatment second. 22 concern guides, 29 treatments, 46 articles, aftercare for every procedure, one clear next step on every screen.
- Pricing that respects intent. The complimentary consultation, published session prices and how prescription treatment is quoted, findable in seconds.
- Built for speed and reach. Static HTML served from the edge, images sized to the layout, fonts preloaded, nothing rendered in the browser.
- Enquiries that never get lost. A form that works without JavaScript, delivered to the clinic from the edge, with every enquiry measured.

A Migration That Lost Nothing, and a Foundation Built to Rank
Changing a domain is where clinics usually lose years of search equity. We mapped every URL on the old site to its new home: 128 redirect rules, every target checked against the build, no chains, no duplicates, nothing dumped on the homepage. Pages whose old addresses carried product brand names were reslugged and redirected in the same pass. The old domain now lives at the edge with nothing behind it, so the redirects stay up for as long as it is registered.
Underneath, the site is structured the way search engines and answer engines want to read a clinic. One clinic entity with its address and opening hours on every page, a Physician entity for Dr Rakib, MedicalProcedure and FAQ structured data on every treatment, and a direct answer in the first hundred words of every treatment and concern page. Melbourne and Kew are written into the pages that should carry them and kept out of the ones that should not.
- 128 redirects, zero lost URLs. Search Console change of address validated by Google on launch day, 10 September 2026.
- Entity done properly. MedicalClinic and Physician entities with opening hours on every page; MedicalProcedure, FAQ and breadcrumb structured data on every treatment page.
- Content that answers. Treatment and concern pages written to answer the question in the first screen, with the clinical detail, the price and the next step below.
- Local without the spam. Kew and Melbourne on the pages that earn them; no doorway pages, no suburb lists.

Built to Be the Answer, Not Just the Result
A growing share of patients now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI which clinic in Melbourne does a treatment, and those engines only recommend what they can read, verify and quote. So the site is open to every one of them, with an llms.txt that describes the clinic, the practitioner and every service in plain terms, an entity that is declared consistently across the site, and pages written so the answer can be lifted straight out of the first paragraph.
We checked one week after launch. Asked about XERF skin tightening in Melbourne, both ChatGPT and Perplexity named Aesthetic Doctors Australia in their answers. That is the beginning of a much longer list, and every page we publish from here is written to join it.
- Open to every answer engine. GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended all allowed, with an llms.txt and a sitemap they can follow.
- Named in week one. ChatGPT and Perplexity both name the clinic for XERF skin tightening in Melbourne, checked 17 September 2026.
- Monitored every month. AI prompts tracked alongside search terms, so we see what the engines say about the clinic and what they say about the competition.
- Citable, not just crawlable. Answer-first structure, consistent facts, and a Journal written to be quoted.

The Strategy
Launch Was the Start, Not the Finish
The site went live on 10 September 2026 and the programme that runs on top of it started the same day. Each month we write and publish new treatment, concern and Journal content against the searches Melbourne patients are actually making, keep the technical foundation and structured data right as pages change, strengthen the clinic's entity across the web, and track both search terms and AI prompts so we know what moved and why.
This is why the model compounds. Every concern guide makes the treatment pages beneath it easier to rank. Every Journal article gives the answer engines one more reason to cite the clinic. Every month of clean technical work protects the last month's gains. Nothing is rented, nothing depends on ad spend, and the asset belongs to the clinic.
